The American Scholar Collective is a concierge homeschool education service providing expert academic planning, online coursework, and virtual tutoring service Orange CA for students in grades K–12.

Led by Dr. Sagui Doering, the program is built on real-world educational leadership and designed to help families move beyond uncertainty into a structured, intentional, and results-driven homeschool experience.

The American Scholar Collective partners with families on their educational journey in many ways! The process always begins with a free 1-hour discovery call where we really get to know your family’s needs, preferences and goals, and the child’s learning levels, styles, strengths and challenges.

From that initial consultation, a thorough evaluation of all transcripts and the child’s academic journey is conducted. If an academic diagnostic test is required, we will initiate the process for that evaluation. Successively, a personalized proposal with her recommendations is provided so we can then work with your family to help you create an educational plan that fits your students’ needs and schedule. When working with The American Scholar Collective, we track progress to make sure we are reaching your goals, adjusting as needed and always available to answer any questions you may have! 

Families can choose the services and courses from an extensive catalog that is compliant to your state’s academic standards; one that best supports their learner, creating a personalized path that complements their homeschool goals.

Every student’s educational journey is unique. At the American Scholar Collective we help families create a clear and simplified step-by-step academic Roadmap that guides students towards long-term success while honoring their strengths and goals. A personalized roadmap truly simplifies the educational journey of the student and allows for a clear sense of direction that helps them reach their goals. 

After conducting a discovery call the process begins with a thoughtful review of the student’s academic history, including transcripts, prior coursework, and current levels of learning. We also look closely at the student’s learning style, strengths, and areas where additional support may be beneficial. Understanding how a student learns best allows us to recommend courses, pacing, and instructional approaches that lead to deeper understanding and stronger academic growth.  We blend academic, athletic and socio-emotional guidance for a comprehensive experience. 

They are a starting point for families to create their own mix of services alongside their own practices, or we can provide all services.

The result is a structured yet flexible personalized academic plan that gives families clarity and direction. With a well-designed roadmap, students can move forward with confidence, knowing that each step of their education is intentionally aligned with their current and future goals.

YES! The American Scholar Collective prides itself on making high-quality educational support accessible for all homeschool families who would like professional guidance!  Our prices are lower than our competitors! 

We will get to know you, your family and learner’s needs, current status and goals. During this time, we will conduct a comprehensive review of your student’s academic history, including their prior transcripts, coursework, levels and styles of learning, strengths and areas for growth. We also love to know your family, your current goals, reasons for seeking homeschooling and, if applicable, post-secondary goals and dual-enrollment opportunities. This discovery call helps us all start off with clarity and direction, intentionally aligned to their current and future goals. 

We are available to answer any of your questions during our regular operating hours every Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Though, we are able to accommodate your family’s needs and schedule to answer any concierge family’s burning fire questions any time via phone or zoom!

We offer both live online classes and self-paced courses for elementary, middle, and high school students. Courses are available at a variety of academic levels, including accommodated, college preparatory, honors, and Advanced Placement (AP). In addition to core academic courses, we offer world languages, career and technical certification programs, on-demand learning resources, and individualized tutoring service Orange CA. Dr. Doering also works closely with families to help high school students pursue dual enrollment opportunities, allowing them to earn college credit while completing their homeschool education.
